The paragraph
Answer the following questions in your blog:
1. Please define what is a paragraph.
2. What are the three main parts of a paragraph?.....The three main parts of a paragraph are: Topic sentece, Sopporting sentence and Conclusive sentence.
3. Identify some characteristics of the topic sentence.....The topic sentence states the main idea and introduces the topics.
4. Identify some characteristics of the supporting sentences.... These sentences developed the main idea and gives details about the topic.
5. Identify some characteristics of the concluding sentence.....This part summarizes the topics, it gives a final comment and sometimes it`s not necesary to write it.
6. Write one topic sentence for each of the following topics:`
Your hometown
A place you would like to travel to.
(Another topic of your own choosing)
7. Choose one
of the above topics and write ONE complete paragraph about it. You
should use a good topic sentence and adequately detailed supporting
sentences. Do not forget to write down a concluding sentence.

TOTO LA MOMPOSINA
Sonia Bazanta better know as Toto La Momposina is a folk colombian singer of traditional mixed indigenous colombian and afro-latin music.
She was born in the north of our country in Mompox in the Bolivar Deparment. She learned to dance and sing when she was a child, becouse her father was a percuocionist and her mother was a singer and dancer.
In 1964 with her parents and brothers formed their first group, after that in 1984she recorded her first production in France, she made touring in Europe and studied in Paris.
Nowaday her music in the point of the origen of the several mixes in the music for younger people with her foundation.
She is a very impornant singer and an embassadress of our culture, she help to improve the native music and mantain the traditions.

Passive Voice and Conditionals
Passive voice
1) The passive tense is used because: ....we want to give more importance to the object, not to the subject.
2) When do we use the passive voice? .....we use passive voice to emphacize an object and if you don´t know who´s make the action.
3)The structure to use the passive voice
Present tense is object + to be(present) + past participle + (by + subject).... A poem is written by Sebastian.
Past Tense is .....A poem was written by Sebastian.
Present Progressive is.....A poem has been written by Sebastian.
